PURPOSE:To reduce the load of a processor and to improve the processing efficiency, by providing the hardware to calculate the distance between the graph coordiante value and the indicated coordinate value and transmitting a detecting signal to the processor when the result of above-mentioned calculation is smaller than the reference value. CONSTITUTION:The information on a generated graph is stored in a microprocessor 1, and the pattern coordinate value is delivered from a graph generator 2 by the output of the processor 1. This coordinate value is supplied to a CRT 5 via a dot memory 3 and a parallel-serial converter 4 and displayed on the CRT 5 in the form of a graph. The coordinates on the CRT 5 are indicated by a light pen 6, and this indicated coordinate value is fed to a processor 1. Then the segments of a graph nearest the indicated coordinate value are detected under the control of a distance discriminating circuit 7. The distance is calculated between the coordinate value indicated by the circuit 7 and the coordinate value of the displayed graph. This distance is compared with the reference value. In such a way, the load of the processor 1 is reduced with improvement of the processing efficiency. |
