In a device for the continuous dewatering of a cloth, consisting of a four-roller arrangement with two pairs of rollers forming a respective nip and of cylindrical sealing bodies, inserted into the gusset between the pairs of rollers, having pressure contact with each roller and with a passage slit aligned with the nips, the dewatering effect can be increased if there is arranged within the sealing body, next to a compressed-gas supply line, at least one suction pipe which is to be subjected to a vacuum and which possesses respectively at least one suction slit to be brought into contact with the cloth.
