PURPOSE:To weaken adhering force of a toner, to prevent a defect caused by electrostatic charge, and to exactly collect the toner, by setting a corona charger to non-operation, when a toner lump generated by contact and separation of a cleaning blade passes through the corona charger. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning blade 18 and a destaticizing lamp 17 are provided between a toner image transfer part and a corona charger 2. The blade 18 always contacts with a photosensitive drum 1, but it is separated from the drum 1 temporarily by a driving means 19, after a latent image of a proceeding copy is formed, and before a latent image of the following copy is formed, and a toner lamp 20 is formed. The corona charger 2 is set to non-operation by being interlocked with timing of this separation. Therefore, since a toner of the toner lump 20 is that which is scraped once, no electrostatic attracting force operates on the drum 1, its adhering force is weakened, and also a defect caused by charging is prevented, therefore, the toner lump 20 can be collected to a developing device 7 easily and exactly. |
