A process for prepg. a silicone molding compd. comprises (a) mixing a silicone resin of RSiO3/2 and R2SiO units, where R is monovalent hydrocarby1 and the R:Si ratio is 1-1.9 with an aliphatic alcohol, ketone, toluene, xylene, and/or chlorinated hydrocarbon solvent to form a soln. of 10-50 wt.% solids; (b) adding fillers, silicone plasticiser, pigment, and catalyst to form a paste of 75-95 wt.% solids, (c) kneading; (d) removing (most of) the solvent; and (e) reducing to particles.
