PURPOSE:To make welding of a narrow groove easy, by arraying cooling water pipes and gas pipes horizontally to decrease the width of a torch to the width approximate to the diameter of an electrode thereby enabling the reduction in the thickness of the entire part of the torch. CONSTITUTION:A titled torch consisting of a pipe group of horizontally arrayed cooling water pipes 11, 12 and gas pipes 13, 14, an electrode holding plate 15 provided in the end part of the pipe group, and a torch fixing member 10 provided in the above-mentioned pipe group apart at a specified distance from the part where the plate 15 is installed. Cooling water passages 16, gas passages 18, 19 are formed to said plate 15, and a non-consumable electrode 17 is mounted freely attachably and detachably. The width of the torch is reduced to the width approximate to the diameter of the electrode by the above-mentioned method, whereby the welding of a narrow groove is accomplished easily. |
