PURPOSE:To provide the titled tank shaped in the form of a dome, which is enabled to withstand the load of liquid in the tank and expansion and contraction forces, by fixing anchor bolts at positions located downwards of the corner part of the tank, and providing tensile members to extend between the upper part and the lower part at the corner part of the tank. CONSTITUTION:When bending moment by the load of liquid in the tank 1 is exerted to the corner 1a of the tank 1, it can be supported by support plates 6 disposed under the corner 1a. On the other hand, it the tank 1 has caused heat shrinkage, local concentration of stress can be prevented since base plates 5 are not fixed directly to a heat-insulating member 3 at the bottom and therefore they are allowed to alide over the surface of the heat-insulating member 3. Further, since tensile members 9 are provided in the tank 1 to extend between the upper part and the lower part of the corner 1a, expansion of the tank 1 by the gas pressure can be prevented by the tensile force of the tensile members 9. |
