PURPOSE:To simplify constitution of a paper properly arranging means, by forming a feed roller of the paper properly arranging means provided between paper feed rollers and resist rollers in a rotatable state only in the paper feed direction while not rotatable with external force below a prescribed level. CONSTITUTION:A paper properly arranging means 4 is constituted such that a gear 45 transmitting driving power to a rotary shaft 42 of a feed roller 41 is mounted throug a one-way clutch 44 to the shaft 42 rotatable only in the paper feed direction while a brake member 46 is provided to the shaft 42 of the roller 41 not to rotate even if external force below a prescribed level is applied to a peripheral surface of the roller 41. While under a separated condition of a set of paper feed rollers 1, when paper 5 is inserted between the rollers 1, 1, the roller 41 stops the point end of the paper 5 to properly arrange a position of the paper 5, further in case of feeding the paper 5 by resist rollers 3, the shaft 42 of the roller 41 is idly rotated for the gear 45 in such a manner that resistance of the roller 41 given to the paper 5 is not beyond a prescribed level. |
