A tyre-pressure control device on vehicle axles is characterised by a compressed air bore which is connected to a controllable compressed air source and is located in the fixed axle stub which opens into an annular wheel hub chamber formed by wheel hub and axle stub. The wheel hub chamber is bounded by a bearing pair, which bearings are spaced from one another axially, and is sealed in the region of this bearing by virtue of the fact that the latter have mounted in front of them on the inside of the chamber in each case one rigid sealing ring carrier with at least one circumferential seal. The sealing ring carrier is adjusted to the axle stub, its circumferential seal being sealed with respect to the outer bearing ring or the wheel hub. By means of the invention, a lasting compressed air connection is ensured between a (mobile) compressed air source of the vehicle and a vehicle tyre. The tyre air pressure can be matched quickly and easily to any loading state of a vehicle or to the road conditions.
