<p>A windscreen wiper assembly comprising a blade means, said blade means comprising an elongate flexible wiping blade (1') arranged so as to wipe across a surface (15) in at least one direction of movement, and an elongate scrubber means located at the leading lateral side of the blade in said one direction of movement arranged such that when leading and when trailing behind the blade means in the respective directions of movement of the blade means across the surface the scrubber means is respectively in and out of engagement with the surface, said elongate scrubber means preferably comprising two elongate scrubbers (10) located at respective lateral sides of the blade means, the assembly being characterised in that the scrubber means leading the blade means is displaceable independently of the blade (1').</p> |
