Steps have already been taken with regard to technical shutters having a lens and polygonal diaphragm whose vanes can be operated by a cam path and can be swivelled out of the light passage of the shutter by a steeply rising curved section to permit adjustment to the circumstances of different shutter/lens combinations. These include equipping the diaphragm setter with an adjusting slide which serves to delimit the adjustment range and is provided with a scale pointer, as well as equipping the shutter with a diaphragm scale which is tuned both to the shutter throughput magnitude and to the light intensity of the lens and which cannot be mounted until a decision has been taken regarding the combination of shutter and lens. Since the effect of the steep curve of the diaphragm setter can occur only if the shutter throughput magnitude and lens throughput correspond, the diaphragm setter has been assigned a part curve which is equipped with a corresponding cam path and which can be fed into the diaphragm cam path in such a way that the edges of the vane are displaced from the light passage of the lens even if the latter is smaller than the throughput magnitude of the shutter.
