<p>In a pulp press (1) having at least one press spindle (6) mounted so as to be driven in a housing (2) in a rotating manner, along the body (7) of which are mounted worm vanes (8 to 11) with an axial gap between each adjacent worm vane, the housing (2) has a sieve casing (22) and a spray casing (23) at a distance from the sieve casing and surrounding the latter. Provided in at least one axial zone (31 to 33) of the pulp press is at least one drainage installation (34 to 36) which is connected to the sieve casing (22) and arranged flush with at least one of the worm vanes (8 to 11). Each drainage installation possesses a cavity (37) which is connected on the one hand to the pulp presscake via perforations (38) in a wall (39) of the drainage installation, and on the other hand to the spacer (41) between the sieve casing (22) and the spray casing (23) via at least one outlet (40). Each drainage installation (34 to 36) may possess at its beginning a compression section (46) which increases in its cross-sectional area in one transport direction (18), and at its end may possess an expansion section (47) which decreases in its cross-sectional area in the transport direction (18). <IMAGE></p> |
