PURPOSE:To expand the level of reproduction at a high frequency band, by providing a thin film at an inlet or outlet of an equalizer and filling a gas faster than the air in terms of the speed of sound into the space formed between the thin film and a diaphragm. CONSTITUTION:The right half of the figure shows a case that a thin film 13 is provided at the inlet of an equalizer 7 and a gas having a high speed of sound is filled into a gap 8; while the left half shows a case that the film 13 is provided at the output of the equalizer 7 and a gas having a high speed of sound into the entire space which is formed between a diaphragm 5 and the equalizer 7. The film 13 is made of a metallic foil or a plastic film, and the gas having a high speed of sound uses hydrogen, helium, etc. As a result, a horn speaker having excellent sound pressure characteristics at a high frequency band can be obtained. |
