PURPOSE:To remarkably improve operational performance at light loaded operation of an engine, by adding a condition of intake pressure to a feed stop condition of fuel and removing the condition of intake pressure from a feed restart condition of fuel. CONSTITUTION:When an intake throttle valve is in a closed condition, the control proceeds to a step 103 to decide whether in a fuel cut stage or not. In case of no-fuel cut, the control proceeds to steps 104-106. When intake pressure Pm is below a prescribed value (160mm.Hg abs.), the control proceeds to a step 107, while in case of an engine speed Ne exceeding a fuel cut speed Na, the control proceeds to a step 108 to cease supply of fuel. Further when the intake pressure Pm is at least the prescribed value, a low loaded running condition is decided not to stop the supply of fuel. On the contrary, when an opening condition of the intake throttle valve is detected in a step 102, the control proceeds to a step 111 to restart supply of fuel. In this way, operational performance at light loaded operation can be remarkably improved. |
