PROCEDE ET DISPOSITIF D'EVALUATION DE LA POSITION D'UNE FIBRE OPTIQUE DANS UN EMBOUT DE CONNECTEUR ET APPLICATION A SON POSITIONNEMENT

The eccentricity of the centre of the emitting zone of a fibre is measured in relation to a reference point. The image of this zone is formed on the input face of another fibre which is connected to a detector. The projected image is oscillated, the detecting fibre is moved and the alignment is detected when both detected maxima coincide with half-periods of the oscillating movement. The ferrule is rotated by a half-turn and the process is repeated. Additional stages are used to position the input face of the detecting fibre at the virtual centre of the reference V of the support. An additional stage in the process consists in displacing the optical fibre with a piezoelectric motor to place the origin of the abrissa to the virtual control elevation of the support.
