Pressing device for treating a pasty solids suspension

A pretreatment station for a pressing device is disclosed for a pasty solids suspension such as, for example, sewage sludge, paper pulps or other liquid/solids mixtures. The pretreatment station should operate continuously, have a high take-up capacity, be operable at low energy costs and be simple and robust with respect to construction and the mode of operation. This object is achieved by the provision of at least two exchangeable perforated sheet containers on a rotary take-up disc, underneath which a stationary disc with an eccentric opening is arranged coaxially, whose cross-sectional area corresponds to the size of the cross-sectional area of a perforated sheet container and to the cross-sectional area of a filling port of the pressing device. By timed rotation of the rotary take-up disc, one container is in each case moved underneath a filling branch, filled and rotated further. The contents of the container are predehydrated by settling of the solids components and draining of the liquid from the holes of the container, for example by 5-10 %, and finally transferred into the filling port of the actual pressing device. Since the perforated sheet containers are open at the bottom and slide on a stationary disc, the bottom sealing of the containers is very important. The invention describes several illustrative examples of such seals.
