发明名称 PROBE HOLDER FOR ULTRASONIC FLAW DETECTION
摘要 PURPOSE:To enable a stable ultrasonic flaw detection by watersealing a coupling water on the undersurface of a probe at a fixed thickness with a flexible bush adapted to deform to a water sealed condition following the shape of the surface of an object to be detected. CONSTITUTION:A ring-shaped concave groove 15 is sunk on the undersurface of a probe holder 11 close to probe mount hole 13. A band ring-shaped flexible bush 16 made of a flexible material such as rubber synthetic resin is inserted vertically movably into the concave groove 15 and sticks out from the undersurface of the holder 11. The lower end of the flexible bush 16 deforms following the surface of an object 23 to be detected and so contacts it water sealed that a water sealed chamber W is formed on the undersurface of a probe 14. This enables a stable ultrasonic flaw detection without requiring replacement of parts as did in the past regardless of changes in the surface curvature of the object being detected.
