TAPE GUIDE SWITCHING MECHANISM OF MAGNETIC RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To open and close a tape guide in two different modes by opening and closing the tape guide while its one end is supported on a rotating shaft, and finely opening and closing the movable end of the tape guide through a solenoid. CONSTITUTION:Between the rotary head 1 on the circumferential surface of a spindle 2 with a motor and a tape guide 3, a tape is loaded in an arc shape along a tape guide surface 5. One end of the tape guide 3 is supported on a shaft 4 and is energized by a spring 9 to close the tape guide 3. The rotation of the motor 6 is decelerated through a part 7 and the tape guide 3 is opened widely to load the tape. To stop a run of the tape temporarily after the tape guide 3 is closed, a pin 15 provided between projectors 11 and 12 provided on the tip surface 10a of a fitting base 10 is driven by the solenoid to open the tape guide 3 slightly against the spring 9. Thus, the opening and closing mode of the tape guide 3 is selected to improve operability.
