PURPOSE:To supply electric power into an accumulator resulting in not only the prevention of the run-down of battery but also the utilization as the power source of the power consumed in an automobile, by forming the glass plate of the window of the car body as the substrate of a solar battery. CONSTITUTION:A thin film solar battery 2 is formed on one surface of a glass plate 1, and the glass plate 1 is used for the glass window of the rear part of the automobile 3 so that the side of this solar battery 2 is inside the car. The surface of the solar battery 2 is coated with e.g. a transparent or opaque protection film 4 constituted of synthetic resin. Electro motive forces are generated to the solar battery 2 by the light 5 incident from the car outside. The accumulator loaded on the automobile 3 is charged by this electro motive force. Thus, the battery run-down due to the self discharge of the battery can be prevented. The solar battery 2 can be provided on the window of the front or side part besides one of the rear part. |
