PURPOSE:To restrain the adhesion of fuel injected against the wall of suction air and improve the fuel consumption and the accelerating property of the engine by a method wherein the injection from a fuel injection valve is synchronized with a suction stroke, in the fuel injection engine having a suction port generating an eddy current in a combustion chamber. CONSTITUTION:Suction air from a suction tube 13 is flowed into the combustion chamber 5 from the opening of one end 3 of the suction port 1 along the tangential direction of the combustion chamber 5 and the eddy current having a direction shown by an arrow sign 24 is formed in the combustion chamber 5. The fuel injection valve 20 is attached to the suction tube 13 so that the injecting direction 21 thereof is directed in parallel to a standard surface 16 against the center of the opening of the other end 3. The center of the opening 23 of an exhaust port 22 for the combustion chamber 5 is deviated with respect to the standard surface 16. An ignition plug 25 is provided at the upper part of the combustion chamber 5. Fuel, injected from the injection valve 20, is tending to advance to a part of suction air, in which the flowing speed thereof is high, in the suction port 1, and is flowed so as to change the direction thereof toward the combustion chamber 5 by the suction air having a high flowing speed without adhering to the inner wall of the suction port 1, whereby the evaporation and atomization of the fuel may be promoted. |
