<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an Al alloy plate for printing giving a uniform rough surface by roughening and having superior fatigue resistance by adding specified amounts of Mg, Si and Fe to Al. CONSTITUTION:An ingot of an alloy consisting of 0.05-0.30% Mg, 0.05-0.30% Si, 0.15-0.30% Fe and the balance Al with ordinary impurities is soaked, hot rolled, cold rolled at >= about 70% reduction rate of area, and low temperature annealed at about 150-250 deg.C for >= about 1hr. Mg is mostly solubilized in Al without exerting unfavorable influence on the roughening of the surface of the resulting plate to enhance the strength and fatigue resistance, yet excess Mg deteriorates the uniformity of the roughened surface in roughening. Si and Fe form an intermetallic compound and make the crystal grains fine and uniform. The intermetallic compound and elemental Si enhance the fatigue strength when precipitated, yet excessive amounts of them deteriorate the uniformity of the roughened surface in roughening. Excess Si deteriorates the corrosion resistance.</p> |
