PURPOSE:To contrive reducing vibration of an engine and making a balancer into light-weight and compact size in such a way that a balancer shaft is installed which revolves in the inverse direction to a crankshaft, and balancers are installed at two places of said shaft on the both sides of the first and third cyliners. CONSTITUTION:Crank arms of a crankshaft 1 for the first and third cylinders are provided with counter-weights 6a-1, 6a-2; 6c-1, 6c-2 and 6a'-1, 6a'-2; 6c'-1, 6c'-2 to the mass of the reciprocating part and revolving part of the engine. Besides, counter-weights 6b-1, 6b-2 corresponding to only the mass of the reciprocating part are installed on the crank arm of the second cylinder. Further, one balancer shaft 7 is installed for revolving in the inverse direction at the same speed as the crankshaft 1 which has been mentioned above, and the balancers 8a', 8c' are installed in the zone of said shaft 7 corresponding to the bearings 9a, 9d on the both outsides of the first and third cylinders. And, these balancers 8a', 8c' are supported in a full-circumferential shape of shaft pipe, and they are used also as bearings 23. |
