PURPOSE:To make the production of rolled plates having good surfaces free from irregular gloss possible in an arbor moving type roll constituted of a sleeve and arbors by incorporating the system of forcing a pressure medium into the spacing between the sleeve and the arbors and moving the arbors in the axial direction of the roll. CONSTITUTION:In the stage of constituting an arbor moving type roll by fitting a sleeve 12 on the circumference of the arbors 11, plural lines of grooves 111, 121 are provided in the axial direction of the roll between the arbors 11 and the sleeve 12, and sealing members 113, 123 are mounted in the end parts thereof. The passages 114, 115 provided in the arbors 11 are communicated with the above-mentioned grooves. A pressure medium is introduced from a pressure medium supplying unit provided on the outside of the roll into the grooves 113, 123 through the passages 114, 115 and the sleeve 12 is expanded in a radial direction by the pressurizing of the pressure medium, whereby the arbors 11 are moved with the arbor moving unit in the axial direction of the roll, whereby the crown of the roll is changed freely. |
