The feeding device for cattle is composed of a feed distributing trolley (1) which can travel in the cowshed and has a distributing device (2) which discharges laterally (3) and a loading device which is arranged on one end face of the feed distributing trolley (1) and has a loading shovel (7) which is vertically guided on rails (4) and supports on its outer edge an oscillating beater (8) for removing silage, the upper ends (4b, 4c) of the rails being bent towards the feed container (5) of the feed distributing trolley (1) in such a way that the loading shovel (7) automatically empties in its topmost position into the feed container (5). The loading shovel (7) is connected by means of an easily releasable coupling device to a lifting carriage (6), which is guided on the rails (4) and vertically driven by means of a cable line or a chain, and can be exchangeable with a hay gripping device (9, 9') or another feed removal device. <IMAGE>
