PURPOSE:To rapidly respond when an input voltage abruptly varies by synthesizing the output voltage signal of an inverter circuit and a DC input voltage signal of a chopper circuit and controlling the pulse width of the chopper circuit with the output signal. CONSTITUTION:When the output voltage of a power converter having a chopper circuit 6, DC filter circuits 5, 7 and an inverter 8 is maintained constantly, the output of an output voltage detector 21 is compared with a reference 22, is inputted to an error amplifier 23, thereby obtaining a signal 232, the input DC voltage 21 of the chopper circuit 6 is detected by a detector 31, both are synthesized by a signal synthesizer 32, thereby controlling the pulse width of the chopper circuit 6 through a voltage controller 24. Accordingly, the DC voltage 12 is applied to the chopper circuit 6 when the voltage abruptly varies such as when an AC power source 1 is switched to a DC power source 3, thereby eliminating the influence of the delay of the output signal 232 and suppressing the variation in the output voltage to the minimum limit. |
