<p>PURPOSE:To print a clear character effectively utilizing light energy with a simple construction by focusing the light from a light source with a driver at a desired position of a tape, where a hot melting material is transferred onto a printing paper. CONSTITUTION:With a two-dimensional movement of a concave mirror 11 corresponding to a character pattern, a light beam LB is being focused on a thermal tape 13 through a pin hole 17 and a keep plate 16 while causing the focusing position to change. Heat energy of the light beam LB locally heats the thermal tape 13 so that a hot melting material will be melted sequentially according to a scanning pattern thereof, whereby desired characters are recorded in a font fashion. After this operation, the passage of the light beam LB through a pin hole 17 regulated by the turning of a mirror 18 while the printing position on a printing paper 15 is changed by the movement of a platen 14.</p> |
