PURPOSE:To prevent the evil influence of fluctuations of temperature upon the quality of a copied image by making the electric resistance value-temperature characteristics of a developing sleeve inverse to those of a developer. CONSTITUTION:An aluminum cylinder is covered with a magnetic semiconductor made of barium titanate and this is magnetized to 800 gauss to obtain a developing sleeve 3. A magnetic brush 2 consists of a conductive carrier and toner and decreases in resistance value as temperature falls. Barium titanate, on the other hand, increases in resistance value as temperature rises, and the both compensate each other to obtain a constant resistance value within a practical use range of temperature. |
