PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a motor-driven vehicle so as to descend a slope without fear while a rotary sensor is not used by a method wherein the control mode is switched to a travelling mode when the movement of a speed control lever is in a direction increasing the tilt of the lever and switched to a braking mode when the movement of the speed control lever is in a direction decreasing the tilt of the lever. SOLUTION: A DPU 11 outputs a advance/retreat signal and a speed control signal to a motor driving circuit 13 in accordance with the command value from a joystick 12. Further, a dynamic braking main circuit cut-off command, a dynamic braking control resistor closing command and an electromagnetic braking control command concerning a braking mode in descending a slope are outputted. If a speed control lever 2 is moved from a low speed side to a high speed side, a vehicle travels at a speed corresponding to the inclination of the speed control lever 2 and, if the speed control lever 2 is returned to the low speed side, a braking force corresponding to the tilt of the speed control lever 2 is developed and, further, if the speed control lever 2 is returned to a stop position, a maximum braking force is applied for a required time and then an electromagnetic brake is operated to stop the vehicle.
|
