PURPOSE:To transfer fishes very efficiently as preserving their bodies when living fishes of weak constitution such as sardine or the like are transferred from an original storage place such as a farm fish or the like to a bait tank of a fishing boat or the like by making use of the vacuum operation on the basis of a pump and pipes for transferring the living fishes together with water. CONSTITUTION:A living bait tank 2 of a fishing boat 1 is constructed hermetically by closing a living bait throw-in port 3 by an airtight lid 4. The inside of a living bait tank 2 is connected with a bait enclosure 6, the original storage place of living fishes 7, via a transfer pipe 5, and an electronic counter 9 is provided between them. A drain pipe 10 is arranged inside the living bait tank 2; a number of water-suction ports 11 are bored on its top with a mesh cover outside, and a drain pump 14 and a drain port 15 are provided at its base end. For operating this apparatus, the living bait tank 2 is filled with sea water, and as draining the sea water in the living bait tank 2, the top of the transfer pipe 5 is positioned at a gathering spot of living fishes 7 inside a round haul net 8 by an operator on board an operating boat 17 for transferring and storing the living fishes 7 into the living bait tank 2 together with sea water by the vacuum operation. |
