<p>A ligating member (1) capable of reliably mooring an arch wire (7) to an orthodontic bracket (4) and keeping the movement of the bracket (4) along the arch wire (7) smooth, and having a minimum of filthy area. A ligating member (1), which is used by being attached to a orthodontic bracket (4) having wings (6) symmetrically extending outward on both sides of a slot (5) for passing an arch wire (7) therethrough, is characterized in that the member (1) is longitudinally expansible and is formed so that when it is mounted, the width of a longitudinal intermediate section (2) is substantially equal to or less than the width of the wings (6) and in that it is formed at its longitudinal opposite ends with annular sections (3) adapted to be fastened to the wings (6) for fixing.</p> |
