PURPOSE:To allow monitoring laser output required for the control and stabilization of laser output, by detecting the reflected light from a transparent body for the incidence close to the angle of Brewster's incidence settled in a resonator. CONSTITUTION:The reflection means 14 transparent to laser light is settled in the laser resonator 13 with the angle of incidence close to a Brewster's angle with a laser active region, laser resonator 13 surrounding said region and laser excitation means 16 is provided. Besides, the reflected light 18 from this reflection means is detected for the comparison of the detected amount with control signal 20 for the constitution so that the deviation amount is applied to feedback to the laser excitation means 16. At this time, reflected light RI1 is generated on the first surface of the Brewster's window 14 and reflected light R'I', on the second surface. To prevent the unstability due to the mutual interference, the interval D between the two beams RI2 and R'I2' should be separated over the diameter of laser beam. |
