A device for handling goods stored in rolled form, such as carpets, presenting a lower and an upper table (5, 6) resting on a frame (2). The lower table is formed of a raising and lowering cradle with a lifting plate (26) for lifting of goods on their edge. After the cradle is lowered to a horizontal position on the frame, the roll of goods rests on both of the cradle's stock rollers (7, 8) which can be rotated. In this position the rolled goods can be unwound in order to be measured and rolled into the desired lengths, which occurs through the free edges of the goods being drawn up over and past a rotating support roller (16), which is connected to a counter (18) for measuring the drawn out length of the goods, as well as rolled up on the upper table (6) formed but a further pair of stock rollers (9, 10). Cutting of the goods can be done along a cutting ruler (15), after which the measured and cut length of the goods is removed from the upper table by an assisting roller (20).<IMAGE> |
