PURPOSE:To obtain a seat extension mechanism that can be easily operated by installing a cable crossing between two claws and by installing a cable between a claw and handle as well. CONSTITUTION:Rails 3 and 8 having notches 2 and 7 are installed in parallel on a base frame 1. A seat pad 13 is rotatably supported on an intermediate base 12 and the intermediate base 12 is supported with engaging sliding members 4 and 9. The claws 6 and 11 engaged with the notches 2 and 7 of the rails 3 and 8, are pivoted to the engaging sliding members 4 and 9. Two cables 15 and 16 are installed between the claws in a crossing manner. Two cables 19 and 20 are also installed in parallel between the claws 6 and 10 and a handle 18, which can be rotated, in the middle of the rails 3 and 8. The handle 18 is provided with knobs 21 and 22 on its both sides. This construction makes it possible to move the seat by operating the handle 18 in the moving direction of the seat, thereby facilitating the operation of the handle 18 as well even when the seat is rotated. |
