PURPOSE:Salmon roe seasoned with salt is covered with a semi-permeable membrane and a moisture absorbent is placed outside to effect dehydration from the salmon roe. CONSTITUTION:Salmon roe is washed and sprinkled with powdery salt or dipped in a salt solution of an appropriate concentration or saturated one under stirring to season the roe with salt. Then it is covered with a semi-permeable membrane such as a membrane of cellophane, collagen, chitosan, parchment or collodion and a moisture absorbent such as sodium chloride, silica gel, anhydrous sodium sulfate, calcium chloride, magnesium chloride, celite, bentonite or rice bran is placed outside the covered salmon roe to effect dehydration. |
