Title compd.(I), useful for treatment of ulcer, was prepd. by hydrolsis of compd.(IV) which was obtained from the reaction of trans-4-aminomethylcyclohexane carbonylhalide(II; X = halogen) and compd.(III; R1 = lower alkyl, substituted lower alkyl, aryl, alkoxy, amino; R2 = H, lower alkyl,aryl, acyl, alkoxycarbonyl, cyano), Thus, 4'-(2-acetoxyloxy,carbonylethyl)phenyl-trans-4-aminomethylcyclohexane carboxylate HCI salts 4.97 g and sodium bicarbonate 2.10 g were recdted at 40≦̸C for 40 hr. The obtained ppt.was filtered and dried to give 4'-(2-carboxyethyl)phenyl-trans-4-aminomethylcyclohexane carboxylate (CEP-ester) 3.56 g.
