<p>1470025 Azo dyes from aminopyridine coupling components BAYER AG 30 July 1975 [31 July 1974] 31901/75 Heading C4P [Also in Division C2] Novel dyestuffs, free from sulpho groups, of the formula wherein D is a phenyl radical substituted by substituents with positive sigma values, or is an optionally substituted thiazolyl-2 or benzthiazolyl-2 radical, R 1 and R 2 are straight chain C 1-4 alkyl radicals; R 3 and R 4 are optionally substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl radicals, or one may be H, or -NR 3 R 4 is a 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic radical; and Q is H, CN, an esterified carboxyl radical or an optionally substituted carbamoyl radical, are prepared by diazotizing amines DNH 2 and coupling with appropriate triaminopyridine coupling components.
