PURPOSE:To reduce the number of frictional members for a multiplate brake for simplifying its construction by providing a input ring gear with a large diameter in a planetary gear mechanism to reduce the stress in the input gear. CONSTITUTION:A forward and backward changing-over planetary gear mechanism 400 is composed of a ring gear 404 which is connected to a second intermediate shaft 4 acting as an input shaft of a stepless transmission 200 through a drum 403 provided with a crylinder 402A of a hydraulic servo 402 for activating multiplate clutch 401, sun gear 405 which is connected to a third intermediate shaft 5 acting as an output shaft of the planetary gear mechanism 400 while being connected through the drum 403 and the multiplate clutch 401, planetary gear 406, planetary carrier 408 supporting the planetary gear 406 and engaging with an automatic transmission case 700 through a multiplate brake 407, a hydraulic servo 402 for operating the multiplate clutch 401 and a hydraulic servo 409 for operating the multiplate brake 407. |
