PURPOSE:To commonly use an electric field of a corona charger used for discharging for the power supply of light source, by using an electro luminescense material as the discharge light source on the surface of photoreceptor drum. CONSTITUTION:When an AC current is given between a wire 1 and a shield plate 2, ions are generated by corona discharge the flow of ions is given from an open outlet of the shield plate 2 to the photoreceptor drum surface and residual charges are removed. Electroluminescence material 3a such as ZnS coated with a polyethylene telephthalate film 4 is illuminated with AC electric field of the charger, and the surface of photoreceptor drum is radiated, allowing to operate discharge and restoration of fatigue of photoreceptor layer. |
