The structural element made of solid timber is used in walls of houses - permanent residences as well as holiday and weekend cottages - esp. on the block-built beam system. It is made up from a predetermined number of beams (2,3,5) - pref. three to five - arranged one above another. On adjacent sides these have complementary shaping formed out along them, such as ribs (6) and cutouts (7). In this shaped area they are undetachably joined together by gluing. They may also have interfacing recesses forming a cavity to be filled with a wedge of hardwood or similar. This provides effective sealing and heat insulation, with formation of fissures almost precluded, and the system is simple and inexpensive.
|
