PURPOSE:To achieve uniform application all the time without any secular change, by forming the application part of a member, which applies an offset inhibitor on the surface of a fixing roll, by using a porous film material which has the open cell pores. CONSTITUTION:An application member 6 is installed to apply a mold releasing agent on the surface of a fixing roll 2, and this member 6 consists of a main body 6a of felt whose one end side is dipped in a mold-releasing agent in a tank 8 and an application part 6b fitted to the other end side of the main body 6a by adhesion or sewing. Further, this application part 6b slides in contact with the circumferential surface of the fixing roll 2 with about 1cm width. The application part 6b made of a film material, such as an etylene-tetrafluoride foamed body, having, for example, 160-190mum thickness and many open cell 0.2-1.5mum pores are formed internally, so that the mold-releasing agent sucked up from the tank 8 by the main body 6a is applied on the surface of the fixing roll 2 through the pores. |
