PURPOSE:To input information to a simple automatic answering telephone set even from a normal telephone set, by interpreting a multi-frequency signal from a push button dial telephone set with a multi-frequency receiver provided in the simple automatic answering telephone set and storing it on a memory. CONSTITUTION:When a telephone set 11 is set to the satate of automatic answer, a switch 12 is connected to a contact NO at character communication side and a switching circuit 15 is to a contact NC at an incoming detection circuit 14, and when the incoming detection circuit 14 detects the incoming call, a CPU 16 switches the circuit 15 to the contact NO for incoming response and thereafter, a multi-frequency receiver 9 is operated. If a specific multi-frequency signal is incoming from a calling terminal having the MODEM within a prescribed time, the CPU16 stops the operation of the receiver 9 with the output from the receiver 9 and the operation of an MODEM3B is started to store the inputted data to the MODEM3B is stored in a memory 7. If the opposing party is only a push button dial telephone set, a series of a multi-frequency signal is received at the receiver 9 by detecting another multi-frequency signal at the receiver 9 at first, and it is stored in the memory 7. |
