PURPOSE:To elevate the processing efficiency, by selecting one of a first-in processing buffer and a last-in processing buffer in accordance with a sort of an input information, and preferentially processing a buffer whose information input has been completed earlier. CONSTITUTION:The input processing of a POS terminal for a gasoline station is classified into a first-in processing which inputs information by a magnetic card and issues a slip as soon as refueling is completed, and a last, in processing which inputs information by the magnetic card or a ten key after refueling has been completed. A prescribed discriminating code contained in the input information from an input device 1 is discriminated by a discriminating and selecting circuit 2, and the input information is transferred to a first-in processing buffer 3 when it is a first-in processing information and to a last-in processing buffer 4 when it is a last-in processing information, respectively. A priority circuit 5 monitors an information storage proceeding state of said buffer 3 and 4, discriminates the buffer which has completed storage of the input information earlier, and transfers it to a processing buffer of a processing device 6 as soon as it becomes idle. |
