PURPOSE:To prevent wrong detection due to the external factors by comparing detecting signals at 3 points produced in continuous running near a target ignition timing and making correction after judging at which side the target ignition timing is located, the advance side or delay side of the optimum ignition timing. CONSTITUTION:Corrective advance angle thetaB is initially set to O and then the number of ignition times is set to O at this time. First, in step 400, basic advance angle thetamap is figured out by outputs of rotary angle sensor 5 and an intake pipe pressure sensor 6 and mapped on a memory in a computer to be stored corresponding to rotational speed and intake pressure. Next, in step 401, a target advance angle (target ignition timing) consisting of the basic advance angle thetamap and corrective advance angle thetaB is obtained and in step 402 control signals (ignition signals) corresponding to this ignition timing theta are produced. In step 403, the number n of ignition times is increased by 1 and, in step 404, branched to NO until it becomes the set number K of ignition times so that steps 400 through 404 are looped. |
