<p>The motor with an eccentric bladed rotor inside a fixed casing is supplied with heat from a heat exchanger by an injector which discharges a fluid into the working space when at its minimum size. After injection, part of the fluid is vaporised spontaneously while the remainder remains as a liquid. The heat exchanger has one or more coils through which the fluid circulates, heated by a burner, while still in the liquid state. Air is supplied to the burner by a rotary compressor. Either the stator or rotor or both are made from a thermally insulating material such as ceramic, wood, plastics or resin impregnated fibres. The injector has two inlets, arranged on the stator so that one remains open during the whole of the rotation of the rotor.</p> |
