PURPOSE:To simplify electrode wiring and reduce the size of device by making counter electrodes a group of divided electrodes and applying controlling voltage to the electrodes and applying image signal voltage to a recording electrode. CONSTITUTION:Counter electrodes 4 are made of groups 4'-4''' of divided electrodes. On the other hand, recording electrodes (a)-(p) are selectively connected to driving circuits A-D so that voltage is not applied to all recording electrodes at a time. A recording electrode 3 is installed on a non-magnetic sleeve and the counter electrodes 4 are arranged at a fixed interval opposete to the recording electrode 3. A chainlike magnetic toner 7 on the sleeve 2 is moved by rotation by rotation of a magnetic roller 1, and the toner 7 is supplied continuously on the recording electrode 3. An image 7 is formed on a recording belt 5 corresponding to an image signal and according to voltage application between electrodes 3, 4. |
