The ejector-type chimney cowl has diverging flow guides (3) at the bottom, between which are vanes (4) converging in the upwards direction. The guides can end below the outlet from the chimney, and the top of the cowl can be formed by the downdraught cap. The components can be arranged to screw together. A chimney sleeve is connected to a base plate (6), which has drain apertures, to discharge any condensate formation. The vane construction is such that during extreme heavy wind conditions, the normally pulsating smoke discharge is prevented as during this period a slight under-pressure prevails.
|
