PURPOSE:To detect a code string of a maximum number of dodes which coincide with each other continuously between both codes, by means of a simple operation, by arraying each code string in a code string group to be compared, in accordance with a prescribed rule, and comparing it with a reference code string. CONSTITUTION:An address sequence which is stored in a memory device 8 of (m) pieces of code string groups St is decided in accordance with a prescribed rule. When an address register (AR)9 is reset, a head address of the device 8 is read out and is stored in a register 2. Each corresponding bit of the register 2 and a reference code string (R) of a register 1 is brought to an exclusive ''or'' (EOR)3, and is stored in a register 4. Contents of the register 4 are shifted toward to the MSR side by a detecting circuit 10, and when there is a carry pulse of logic 1, ''1'' is added to the AR9, the next address is read out from the device 8, and the exclusive ''or'' to R is inputted to the register 4. A counter 12 counts a carry pulse of logic ''0'' from the circuit 10, it is set to a register 14, the register 14 is compared with a value of the counter 12 by a comparator 13, and a maximum tring of the number of coincidence is detected. |
