PURPOSE:To eliminate the step of press molding a single coil unit and to obviate the damage of the coil at the time of inserting the coil by alternately winding a prepreg tape and a thermally shrinkable tape on the coil, inserting it into a slot and heating and pressing it to cure the tape. CONSTITUTION:After a prepreg mica tape 2 is wound on the outer periphery of a coil 1, a thermally shrinkable tape 6 is wound on the tape 2, these steps are repeated at the prescribed times, and a stator coil 4' on which the tapes 2 and 6 are alternately wound is manufactured. After this coil 4' is inserted into the slot 7a of a preheated stator core 7, it is heated while being pressed with a suitable clamping tool 12 to cure the insulating layer. Since the coil is pressed after being inserted in this manner, it can omit the press molding step, and the damage of the coil can be prevented by eliminating the unreasonable force applied to the coil 4' at the time of insertion. |
