Implant for the stable inner immobilization of the spine
摘要
For the stable immobilization of the spine an implant is used in the form of a plate (1) of strip or sheet metal which has wedge-shaped cut-outs (2) on the two ends of the plate (1) which are arranged symmetrically towards the centre relative to the longitudinal axis and terminate in a rounding-off (5). The wedge-shaped cut-outs (2) form legs (3) having teeth (4) with rounded feet and sharp points offset by half a division on the inner side. The tooth points (4) are preferably arranged at an angle of 45 DEG along the legs (3) and are bevelled in the opposite direction on the opposite legs. On the outside, the plate is narrowed in its central part (6). The implant used in bone surgery is intended to grow together with the bone, so that an external cast is superfluous. <IMAGE>
