PURPOSE:To improve grinding operation efficiency by detecting the intrinsic vibration component of a wheel spindle stock which is generated when a grinding wheel contacts with a work piece in high response and controlling the feed rate of the wheel spindle stock. CONSTITUTION:A vibration detector 4 consists of a vibration detector A, preamplifier B equipped with a gain adjusting knob C, comparator D equipped with level adjusting knob E, monomulti F equipped with pulse width adjusting knob G, and a preset counter H equipped with preset value knob K. The vibration detector 4 is installed on a grindstone installing base or a work supporting base. When the vibration due to the contact of the grindstone with the work is caught, high feeding rate of the wheel spindle stock 1 is switched to rough grinding feed. |
