<p>The present invention relates to a process for the manufacture of laminated safety glass comprising bonding one or more silicate glass sheets at a temperature of up to 200.degree.C to a polyvinylchloride foil, an ethylene and/or propylene foil, or a partially acetalised polyvinylalcohol foil, bonding being assisted by means of a silicon organo-functional silane and/or a silicon functional silane, with the provisos that when a said polyvinylchloride foil is employed, the silicon organo-functional silane and/or silicon functional silane is applied to the surface of a said foil and/or to a said glass sheet dispersed in a lacquer and that when a partially acetalised polyvinylalcohol foil is used, the silicon organo-functional silane and/or silicon functional silane is applied to the surface of said foil and/or to a said glass sheet dissolved in a solvent and/or dispersed in a lacquer, a solvent, when used, being removed after the application to the foil and/or glass sheet surface. The invention is also directed to the laminated safety glass as obtained from the above process.</p> |
